The process of labor and delivery which is divided into three stages begins when contraction starts, followed by progressive changes in the cervix and ends when the cervix is fully dilated. At WRCH, our trained and delivery nurses watch over the fetal heartbeat monitor and the mother’s health in what can be a long haul before the actual delivery. Our delivery nurses have fetal monitoring devices to guide them along the physiology of the birth process. They’ll call a doctor if there is sign of trouble or when the baby’s birth is imminent.
